![]() ![]() This is a really inconvenient and "out there" option, but the game really is quite something and could be a great game to dive into during main-game burnout. And you'll need the unofficial English patch to understand anything at all. It requires a VPN (pretending to be Japanese!) to register/login, but you can disable the VPN once logged in. If you like action combat, don't mind instanced-world, lobby-based "MMOs" (you only see people in the main city unless you group up before leaving to the wilderness), you might consider the obscure, Japan-exclusive, Dragon's Dogma Online. Or was, last I played a few years ago, and I doubt it changed much. Make no mistake, you will feel like a second-class citizen without a VIP sub (some quest rewards are "VIP Only", for example), but most of the content and gameplay itself are free. If you're looking for classic WoW-like tab-target combat, but dislike subs, you could try Star Wars: The Old Republic. Not trying to be biased towards negative or positive, I tried to be as neutral as possible. Hopefully this gives you a good perspective of BnS. ![]() That's why I don't like it although I play it so much and I still do. It's as if you have to go through a single-player questline RPG to go through to the main game. There's no 'journey' to endgame, there's just endgame where you play the game. I didn't have fun for most of my time playing it because it felt like a single player RPG until endgame. BnS is a good MMORPG, but if some of its flaws seem like an issue, you will not end up having fun. But I wouldn't recommend it because it has flaws that might burn you out and I think I should address them regardless of whether I like the game or not. In fact, I adore it and I play it frequently. I really like this game, don't get me wrong. If you ever see someone speaking in chat, they're most likely telling you to kill yourself, otherwise it's dead silent. It has some P2W elements but I honestly could give less of a shit about those You'll get burnt out rerolling so you'll probably buy their shitty $50 insta max level This can be avoided if you choose a more 'stable' class such as Kung Fu Master. Scummy class rebalances everytime they add a new class in which you realize your class became shit in pvp and you have to reroll. (it's still a good game and I still would recommend it, but here's my main issue with it) Is it worth your time? No, let me elaborate on why. Still has good looking graphics in my opinion ![]() PvE dungeons with non-braindead mob mechanics It's different if you're doing PvE, but it's mainly about your skills and abilities and not your gear. The best combat system in any MMORPG so far Here's what I hate about BnS - unless you like the story, I hate how you have to quest up to max level to be able to compete in PvP. ![]()
